When COVID-19 caused the nation to shut down and enforce social distancing, many celebrity artists began to find creative ways to stay in tune with their fans, including having IG Verzuz battles with other artists.
One of those battles included Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s popular Verzuz series where they played their best produced hits back to back. As of Monday (July 20) their Verzuz series will no longer be hosted on Instagram. The two Hip Hop pioneers recently teamed up with Apple Music to better the experience.
In a press release, Apple Music states that they plan to work with Swizz and Timberland to produce new episodes of Verzuz to “continue giving fans a truly premium, high quality shared experience.” The episodes will be simulcast live on Apple Music and Beats 1 simultaneously, just like it was done on Instagram Live. The episodes will also be exclusively available via Apple Music on-demand afterwards.
The next Verzuz battle is scheduled for July 22 at 5 p.m. PST with Snoop Dogg and DMX facing off. Don’t miss it!
